Power ACTiON is a new project working with the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum, social inclusion, personal development, empowerment of youth and non-formal educational tools.

Τhe project aims to promote social inclusion and active citizenship of young LGBTQIA+ people in society.

Many young LGBTQIA+ people are confronted with discrimination and social exclusion in their communities, because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Phenomena such as homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, xenophobia etc., prejudices and stereotypes, put a strain on young people identity - building and self-growth.

The idea behind this project is to provide the young people with a safe space and opportunity for them to explore their own growth, self-expression, self-empowerment and identity through a variety of non-formal educational tools.

By creating the context, we support them and give them the opportunity and free space, to create their own tools, exchange and facilitate their own knowledge, skills and learning. We aim on boosting their self-confidence and sense of initiative. To increase their self-awareness, intercultural awareness, LGBTQIA+ Spectrum and non-formal education knowledge.

In this way, they can later on contribute on their own to support the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum and Human Right in their own communities, by organizing their own workshops or other activities.
