Family and Childcare Center – KMOP is a Greek NGO with long and extensive experience and activities in the social sector, particularly in providing support to socially vulnerable groups. KMOP's axes of expertise include mental health, employability promotion, gender equality and provision of support to other socially vulnerable groups, with significant relevant track record.

KMOP’s activities include the implementation of programmes and projects, both in Greece and abroad. As part of its programme operations, KMOP is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join its team, having Thessaloniki as base, but able to travel also to Western Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace for project purposes.



  • Coordinate a large-scale field project to be implemented in Northern Greece
  • Conduct field work (home visits), visiting vulnerable people facing the risk of marginalisation
  • Organise, manage and oversee the implementation of field work performed by local teams of professionals
  • Conduct desktop research
  • Prepare and design tools and methodologies required for the field work
  • Be in charge of record keeping of all information related with the field work
  • Draft progress reports & deliverables
  • Participate to the implementation of dissemination and awareness raising activities (e.g. newsletters, press releases)
  • Participate to project meetings with various stakeholders, including the Contracting Agency, representing KMOP



  • Excellent academic background, including a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, preferable in Social or Economic Sciences
  • Solid background in implementing outreach activities aiming at the support of vulnerable populations (e.g. home visits, psychosocial counseling sessions), proven by at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in managing field projects or programmes (including coordinating teams of professionals) involving support of vulnerable groups of at least 3 years (e.g. professional experience in managing positions in social services or social structures & units)
  • Practical knowledge of all available programmes, services and structures providing support to socially vulnerable groups in Northern Greece (in the Regions of Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia and Eastern Macedonia & Thrace)
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel by car (from Thrace to Western Macedonia), in order to coordinate the field work
  • Well organized personality, able to prioritize tasks
  • Solid background in human resource management
  • Strong managerial and time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in Greek and especially in English
  • Completed military obligations (where applicable)
